Easy All on test

The January edition of Canal Boat is in the shops, and includes my review of Easy All, a 67footer by Heartwood.  David's photos of the exterior look particularly good this month; you'd never know that we spent the morning dodging showers, that it was really windy, and rather cold.

Crunch time

This month's contribution to Canal Boat is a piece about a boat which had a tree fall on it, and was repaired by the guys at the Nantwich Canal Centre.

Oakapple on test

The August issue of Canal Boat is out, and includes my review of the Barn Owl boat, Oakapple, which won Best in Show at the Crick Boat Show at the end of May.

Zoe on test

The July issue of Canal Boat is out, and includes by boat test of Zoe, a widebeam by Piper Boats.

Revilo on test

This month's Canal Boat is out, and includes my review of Revilo, a 60ft boat by GWV with a Russell Newbery engine in the back.  A lovely boat, and really quite special to steer.

Button End on test

The February edition of Canal Boat has been in the shops a week, but we had no post for several days last week because of the snow, so I've only just got my copy. It contains my test of Button End, a Goldsbrough boat. The test was done just a couple of days before we set off on our three week trip last September, and we had weather we can now only dream of: sunshine and warmth.

Button End is based on a previous Goldsbrough boat, Footsie 100. Imagine my surprise when just a couple of days into our September trip, we passed Footsie 100 moored just south of Stoke. I managed to grab a quick picture, which also makes an appearance in the magazine.
